WHAT BRINGS US TO THIS SEARCH
Zion Baptist Church has been blessed with stability over its 119 years. Our next Pastor and Spiritual leader will be only the fifteenth pastor in the Church’s history.
Pastor Gerald L. Chapman, Sr., the fourteenth pastor of Zion Baptist Church arrived in 1982 and served until September 2014. At that time, and with the blessing and understanding of the Church, Pastor Chapman chose to retire because of much needed rest and health issues. The church accepted his retirement with regret but with full understanding, love and support.
Currently, the associate ministers and guest ministers are fulfilling the duties of teaching & preaching to the congregation. The church also benefits from a strong Deacon and trustee board and from a dedicated Church staff, including exceptionally talented musicians and choirs, long tenured administrative staff, and a masterful and committed sexton.
